As a young artist I was inspired by wildlife artists including David Shepherd, Alwyn Crawshaw and David Bellamy.  I furthered my study in painting through a mentorship under professional artist Windsor Morgan.  He taught me how to use oil paints, and supported my growth as an artist.  At that time I focused on painting horses  and completed a lot of commissions.

I was first introduced to photography by my father who brought me my first DSLR camera.  Accompanying him when photographing weddings, I soon started taking the role of lead photographer.  At this time I studied with a local studio and renowned photographer Paul Rampht.
